Kitchen gadgets at work

Joseph Joseph Uni-tool, 5-In-1 Utensil proved to be useful as a spatula / scraper / tasting spoon, avocado scooper, drainer, garlic crusher and surprisingly well as a serrated knife. Great for lefties! Not many tools are made for us so the right-handed majority shouldn't complain.
Sold out in red on Amazon.com.

2 things the Government doesn't want you to know

Strawberry huller  can be used for hulling tomatoes: charge, stab, twist and pull!

Meat Tenderizer (the one you already own, I prefer wood but metal ones are good too) works wonders as a garlic crusher.

Phobias: fear of not being seen in a Dress, Sitophobia etc.

Fear of not being seen in a dress
I am a 40 something transgendered person.
I have been trans as long as i can remember.
I was married for 18 years to a very non understanding wife and had to try and keep my physical trans state hidden.
Anyway cut a long story short we broke up and i moved out.
Eventually got myselve my own place where i could be me.
Anyway, it got to the point now where i hate going out looking like a fella. I prefer my other side. I am very convincing as a girl and have no problemms passing in the public eye.

Sitophobia (fear of food)
My whole life i have always had this Sitophobia problem that i seem to of come to terms with but the people around me just cant, when i was 2 years old i had a traumatic event where i almost died and from this day i have never eaten or even thought of food like a normal human being should! I eat 1 meal a day which consists of 5 slices of bacon in a baguette, i have had this everyday for 16 years! Some food i cant have anywhere near my face and i know it wont hurt or kill me but im just so terrified and i dont know why!

Actually, I was not looking for phobias or anything weird of this sort. I was trying to find the name of this film where people are getting pleasurable sensations from something like paper balls, carp fish nibbling on ones feet in aquarium, etc.
Numerous lists of top weird films but no luck so far. Help!

Specialised spoons part II

Part I

Part II featuring Williams-Sonoma Spaghetti spoons and Pasta rakes ($$20, 24, 30, 34) and Sur La Table salt, caviar and tasting spoons  ($$3, 8, 15).

Guess which one: this product contains lead, a chemical known to the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.  Now guess which one is perfect for everyday use or ideal when entertaining guests.

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Pure Spaghetti Spoon

Olive Wood Pasta Rakes
Mother of Pearl Caviar Spoon

Vintage Salt and Pepper Classic Spoon Set

The tasting spoon made of olive wood for 15$ @ Sur La Table... Even my love for specialised kitchen gadgets is not strong enough to advertise the idea of a special tasting spoon. My apologies to my readers.

To make up for a missing spoon, I piked a different one. And now that I read more about Tomato Shark spoon, I'm wondering whether these (annoying business it is!) minutes of my precious life spent removing tomato butts are not worth these small bucks to get the tool. They say you can hull strawberries with it as well which makes me sad. Because since recently I'm a proud owner of a strawberry huller. Shouldn't I try to hull tomatoes with my strawberry huller first?

On specialised spoons (part I)

Spoon-Straw $2

Not I'm talking about serving spoons with one notable exception (in part II), neither I'm talking about pierced or slotted spoons, spatulas, measuring spoons, ladles or skimmers. Rest assured I'm not talking abut spoon rests here, even those which are called spoon rest spoon due to unusual spoon shape.

I'm talking about spoons you never knew you needed till you heard about them.

Powdered Sugar SpoonStainless Steel Olive Spoon, Mix Round Soup Spoon, Olive Spoon,  Grapefruit Spoon, round soup spoon all @ Crate&Barrel. Spoon-Straw is extremely ecologically friendly being fully reusable as opposed to totally non-reusable and non-recyclable plastic straw (if we go back in time, straws used to be fully recyclable being made from eh... straw - you drink your dry Martini by the fireplace and then use the straw to heat your house).
Powdered Sugar Spoon $3

Stainless Steel Olive Spoon $3
Mix Round Soup Spoon $4 all @ Crate&Barrel

Stainless Steel Grapefruit Spoon $4

To be continued.

Guarantee of a good stay - my bet

Working around the absence of "Childfree" checkbox option  could be fun.

My bet would be something else though. I trust hotels of such class / in  this price range to accommodate other guests the way I only hear them during wine tasting hour in the course of polite weather nonsense exchange:
Montage Beverly Hills
Our selection of 55 suites includes options ideal for those traveling with staff, colleagues, friends or extended family. Combine the Governor Suite with one of two Presidential Suites and two Grand Deluxe Guestrooms to create a private four-bedroom retreat. Or opt for a suite and guestroom configuration to create luxurious two-bedroom accommodations.
Each of our 201 guestrooms reflects both vintage Hollywood style and modern-day luxury.
Price range $550 - $900.

LGBT-Welcoming vs. Childfree hotels

As we all know, there is no "Childfree" checkbox listed in Expedia options, so let's research more on how we can use "LGBT-Welcoming" option for best results.

Numbers and facts:
624 hotels in LA and vicinity (I checked some random dates in March, like 6 weeks form now)
out of which 27 hotels are LGBT-Welcoming.

Sorted them by price and dug deeper into every 3d (27/3 equals 9).

Walls Motel Long Beach
Guests must be at least 21 years old to check in at this property.
Rooms under 70$.

DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles - Commerce
Minimum guest age is 21.
Pet policy - dogs and cats only. Maximum number of pets per room - 2.
Pet maximum weight in lb is 20.
Price per room 90-100$.

Queen Mary Hotel
There are no room charges for children 17 years old and younger who occupy the same room as their parents or guardians, using existing bedding. Guests can arrange to bring pets by contacting the property directly.
Rooms under $120.

The Hotel of Hollywood

There are no room charges for children 17 years old and younger who occupy the same room as their parents or guardians, using existing bedding.
Pet fee: USD 35 per pet, per night (maximum USD 245.00 per stay)
Pet maximum weight in kg is 15.
Noise-free rooms not guaranteed.
Minimum Spring Break check-in age is 18 years old.
Caters to singles, couples, seniors, families, groups.
Under $130.

My favorite is The Hotel of Hollywood - everyone is welcome with exception of bigger pets.
More hotels in higher price range listed below.

My bet would be something else though.

Complete the look: Ralph Lauren FMA

Yeah, these guys are really going out of their way.

Effortless Returns
For your convenience, a postage-paid return label is provided with your order.
Personalization
With the Create Your Own collection, you can choose a custom color combination and add your monogram to signature Ralph Lauren styles.

Not my style, though. As I think how my look won't be complete without these wedges and hobo bag for 2.5K ttl, I can't keep a straight face.

Shop Women's Featured Accessories at RalphLauren.com, the Official Site of Ralph Lauren. Errin Vachetta Platform Wedge - The Errin vachetta leather wedge combines the classic fisherman's sandal with the bohemian spirit of the platform for a chic, modern look imbued with vintage inspiration.

Leather Laced Large Hobo @ $1995

An essential carryall to hold a day's worth of necessities is crafted from fine Italian leather and features vintage-inspired, laced detailing for a timeless, must-have style.

On the positive side, my favorite Cosima boots are now down from $1150 to $579!

Victims of advertising

Met someone at the party yesterday: she fell victim to my advertising, based on my posts alone bought Curve ID Levi's jeans and is seriously considering BLU e-Cig. I'm soo-oo exited!

Fell victim to my own advertising and ordered strawberry huller and 5-in-1 utensil, both falling under the categories  I don't even trust:  I don't believe  in highly specialized tools and I suspect that jack-of-all-trades kind of tool will perform worse in regard to 4 out of 5 functions. The real reason for buying this 5-in-1 tool is that it popped up in response to my search of garlic rocker.

Joseph Joseph Garlick rocker was not cooperating and stayed at the same high price of $15 at Sur La Table and Amazon alike (for the solid metal one since I'm afraid the colorful metal/plastic one will break, garlic being one stubborn vegetable).

SOPA snd PIPA

Why is Wikipedia blacked-out?

Wikipedia is protesting against SOPA and PIPA by blacking out the English Wikipedia for 24 hours, beginning at midnight January 18, Eastern Time. Readers who come to English Wikipedia during the blackout will not be able to read the encyclopedia. Instead, you will see messages intended to raise awareness about SOPA and PIPA, encouraging you to share your views with your representatives, and with each other on social media.

What are SOPA and PIPA?

SOPA and PIPA represent two bills in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate respectively. SOPA is short for the "Stop Online Piracy Act," and PIPA is an acronym for the "Protect IP Act." ("IP" stands for "intellectual property.") In short, these bills are efforts to stop copyright infringement committed by foreign web sites, but, in our opinion, they do so in a way that actually infringes free expression while harming the Internet. Detailed information about these bills can be found in the Stop Online Piracy Act and PROTECT IP Act articles on Wikipedia, which are available during the blackout. GovTrack lets you follow both bills through the legislative process: SOPA on this page, and PIPA on this one. The Electronic Frontier Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the public interest in the digital realm, has summarized why these bills are simply unacceptable in a world that values an open, secure, and free Internet.

Angry birds for pets

I love my new kitten. His is a graceful hunter, a tender partner, fun to watch, pet and take care of. I like to see him walk, run and jump (he goes up the Tree!), chase his tail, make a toy out of anything in view: brown bags, nuts and bolts, suitcases and fringe.

I like Angry Birds (tm). Now my kitten plays with Angry Birds Bells (on the left)  and Angry Birds Frisbee.

Hartz® Angry Birds® Birds Gone Crazy™
Comes from Hartz (pet products with love), sold at Costco, Walmart, Amazon.com, CVS. I bought my frisbee at pet section of local supermarket (somewhere between canned cat food for kittens and canned cat food for adult cats).

Hartz® Angry Birds® Tuff Stuff™ Flyer
Angry Birds Flyer (Frisbee) is double sided with a red bird on one side and a green pig on the other. It's fun to joggle (well, that's for human) and it swivels nicely once put on bird's nose on hard floor. My kitten is still skittish around it (well, the bird is same size if not bigger) but when he dares to attack it fun to watch.
